British 'Snow'

I'm looking forward to snowboarding in the UK next week, on actual real snow! A piece of advice to anyone wanting to learn how to board, either go to a real mountain abroad, or book yourself in for a lesson at a snow dome...because my butt was seriously damaged from the amount of times I attempted to turn, became optimistic that I was beginning to face down the slope and that it would be successful - but instead caught an edge. Dry slope is not fun, frustrating and makes it a lot harder than what it would normally be on snow. So yeah...can't wait to get back on it!

Going to the snow dome at Tamworth near Birmingham, only about a 2 hour drive, so not too bad. But I have good news for guys and girls living in the South West...building will begin for a new Leisuredome this Autumn, which, when completed in 2013 will be the UK's longest indoor slope at 210m! Wooop...plus it will be based close to Weston-Super-Mare and the South of Bristol - ideal!
